CTE Introduction to Medical Professions (Period 2)
Course Description
This course is designed to provide students with an overall introduction to the medical professions, including vital signs assessment, medical terminology, health and safety in healthcare, professionalism in healthcare, legal and ethical responsibilities of a medical professional, medical math, and human body systems anatomy and physiology. Emphasis is placed on the foundational skills necessary to enter the healthcare field and exploration of the many different employment areas.
