Department Mission and Goals

The Hamilton High School Social Science Department prepares students to serve intelligently in a democratic society thorough the study of national and international events. Students access primary and secondary sources to gain an authentic sense of other times and places. The Social Science Department staff involve students in all levels of Bloom's Taxonomy from knowledge to evaluation,  identifying, and creating, through all levels of Depth of Knowledge, inquiry and questions. Students learn to process ideas and information as they seek to better understand the world around them.
